Building a culture of cybersecurity within public health through awareness and education.
The Epidemiology Unit conducted a Cybersecurity Awareness Programme for consultants and medical officers to enhance awareness of emerging cyber threats and promote safe digital practices. The programme covered key topics including cybersecurity fundamentals, digital hygiene, and cyber law, with expert resource persons from the Defence Cyber Command. As public health systems increasingly rely on digital technologies and electronic surveillance platforms, strengthening cybersecurity awareness is essential to protect sensitive health information and ensure service continuity. The knowledge gained through this programme will contribute to fostering a more security-conscious workforce and strengthening the resilience of digital public health systems.
